![]() ![]() Science Hero: A great number of them are versed in the sciences, especially considering they're all here for a space field trip.Redeeming Replacement: By the end of the series, Zack, Quiterrie, Yun-Hua, and Charc followed the footsteps of their so-called parents. The only difference is: they chose not to wind up committing crimes like the ones the originals tried to do to them. The exceptions are Funi and Aries, the former being raised as an extra set of organs and the latter having escaped such a fate and live a relatively normal life. Raised as a Host: The bottom line is that all of these kids were raised to be a second body for their genetic originals.Ulgar, Quitterie, and Luca had situations where they were treated as The Unfavorite, while Zack's father was emotionally distant despite raising Zack properly. Parental Neglect: Also a very common thread between the kids.Multinational Team: Were it not for the fact that the planet has a world government Group B5 would likely be one, with all the members having clearly different ethnicities.Latex Space Suit: Standard issue space wear on their planet, and color coded to boot.Justified as the ones with the most exceptional skillsets were deliberately trained by their originals to be at their mental or physical peak for the Grand Theft Me. Zack, for example, is a licensed spaceship pilot, while Kanata is a bronze medal professional decathlete. Improbable Age: A lot of them, despite being teenagers, have impressive credentials that wouldn't be seen on other people their age.Happily Adopted: Aries, Funi, and Charce count under this.Throughout the journey, they slowly built up real friendships with each other. Fire-Forged Friends: Initially, not everyone got along upon first being stranded. On a much sadder note, given that most of their families never really loved them as their own, they're all they have left. Family of Choice: How they consider each other after traveling the stars together for months.Ulgar's older brother was killed in what what most likely and heavily implied to be a political assassination due to finding out about shady dealings, and was also treated like The Unfavorite outside of it.Luca was The Unfavorite, treated as the lesser son because of his adopted status and because he's intersex and thus not a real heir.He and his classmates survived on their own until help arrived days later, and he's still broken up about how he never got to save his teacher. Kanata and his middle school camping group got stranded after the trip went awry, and lost their teacher in the process.Dark and Troubled Past: The lot of them have some messed up upbringings and childhoods, giving them the necessary experience to survive in this terrible situation.Cloning Blues: All of them are clones, created as spare bodies for their originals. ![]() The crew then adopts this as their own "aye aye sir". Borrowed Catchphrase: The show that Funi watches has its crew say "Aye yeah!" when taking orders.Aries is an exception, as she is shown to have been unable to afford some technology that her classmates had. But the lot of them are all very attractive people as well, even considering their being lost in space for months on end. The Beautiful Elite: Let's not sugarcoat it- these kids come from money. ![]()
